How do you make one? I went to a website with a picture that I want to use. I copied and pasted it onto a paint document. Then, I browsed for it but it says that it is incompatible or something like that. Why does it do that? Is there another way to make a profile picture?

They are called "avatars", by the way. You need to make your picture the right size, 100x100 pixels. You can do this using the GIMP, Photoshop, whatever. It also needs to be the right format. Use JPEG, others might work though.

I think he is reffering to the profile pictures in your profile, not an avatar.

See here (http://www.lifeisadisease.com/member.php?find=lastposter&f=17") or here (http://www.lifeisadisease.com/member.php?u=1) for some profile pictures.

What format were you trying to upload for your profile pic? When it said it failed, it should give you a list of available formats - and you could then save it as one of those.

Actually I just got confused. I was trying to get an avatar, I just didn't know the difference between avatars and pro. pics.. Thank you both though.

Avatars. In that case, natesully is right.

I put a picture on a paint document. It was 100x100 but then I realized it was too many KBs. So then, I made it 50x50 but it still wouldn't work. It doesn't make any since. Is paint just incompatible, because I don't think I have any other programs that would do it.

Try saving the file as a jpeg.

Try saving the file as a jpeg.

I just tried this with yet another image but it said that the save was interupted and therefore stoped. I tried again but it did the same thing.

Ah. The dimensions of the image were a little odd, and lied you problem. You had it sized at 258x47, it had to be shrunk down to 100x18. A small feat in Microsoft Digitial Image Pro 7.0 but I'm not quite sure how you would have done it in paint. I also saved as a jpeg rather than bitmap. Don't know if that makes a difference.

Well, originally I had a better proporsioned M16, and as for how you do it? Easy, just click edit, select all, and then select the corner of the square to resize it. And then click the edge of the picture to make it the same size as the picture itself.
Anyway, thank-you I will see if this works.
