I live just north of St. Louis, which was hit by two storms this week, and knocked out power to about a half mil, myself included. I was shocked to see national coverage of the storms Saturday morning. Some reporter live on the scene with a strong New York accent came on and said 'Mini-Katrina'.
Ack. That makes me sick. Houses on both sides of mine were rented to Katrina victims last year. People who lost everything they had in the world.
People on the Gulf coast still are trying to pick up the pieces, albeit some places are recovering more quickly than others. St. Louis? Highs in the low 80's all weekend, 90% will have power Mon or Tue. Katrina my ass.
